Screen Door Upgrade

My wife has always been annoyed by our cheap screen door with no handle to pull it closed from the inside. Always stuck trying to get a death grip on the slippery round knob. Finally got around to adding the wire pull style handle she has been asking for - works really slick. Surprisingly the standard screws even match the door thickness. Drilling through a flimsy sheet metal door is a little dicey but it all worked.

Now if there was only a good latch for opening the screen door. Noticed on our new camper that you have to push that round circle outward in order to open the screen door. Seen other handles out there but none of them will work on this round style handle.

Push round circle outward to open? On mine I push it down to engage the handle.

The clear slide piece of plexiglass, I have to push it in pretty far and then down in order for it to engage.

Ours we just push down on circle to engage the latch to open - easy to use and not have to slide the divider to open the screen door

Thats what we have and it works but like i said you gotta push it inward then down for it to work. If you push straight down it wont engage so I was looking to see if there are any other different styles of handles or latches. [emoji16]

What you need is a different style handle. I noticed the difference too when I had to replace the handle. The only replacement I could get from the local dealer at the time differed from the original.

I think the second one is thicker construction which takes it away from the sliders dowel pin.
