Setting up and unhitching order of events.
Newbie TT owner. We got a Puma 30kfb. 4 scissor style jacks on the corners, equalizer hitch and between wheel tandem axle chocks. My question is this. What is the order of events for once the TT is in the right place? The only thing I know for sure is that you don't unhitch first. . Is it chocks, hitch, scissor jacks? Scissor, Chock, hitch? Some combination with temp chocks so you can immobilize the wheels after level?
Thanks for the help in advance. I have learned a bunch from reading this forum. It has also been nice to have a good friend who is also a FR owner.

Here is what I do after the camper is where we would like it and level side to side.
Chock the wheels, whether it be with wood, rubber/plastic triangles, or X chocks/rotochocks. Then unhitch the camper from the TV (removing all safety chains, wiring, ect) then pull TV ahead. Next level the camper front to rear, once level then put down you stabilizer jacks. Then hook up power, water, cable and finally put out any slideouts that you may have.
When packing up just do it all in reverse.

I do as PHS79 said. Chock first, unhitched, level front and rear (you should already be level side to side using 2x4s or something similar under the low side wheels). And finally set your stabs (note that these are typically not weight supporting so just snug them up).
I also use X-chocks to better control trailer movement.

With the DW, we do the same, except once chocked, and level, she puts out the slides and I do the stabs water and power, etc. That way the inside is done when the outside is. I think it is fine for the slides to go out as soon as reasonable.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it either unless the slides interfere with hooking up one of the "utilities". My cousins 2012 Dutchman Kodiak is a prime example of this, the cable hook up is located between the 2 slides, so unless the cable is connected before the slides go out someone is crawling on their hands and knees to hook it up (design flaw IMO). I saw another camper once that had the power coming out under a small slide.
Thats the only reason why I put them in the order I did.

I learned a valuable lesson first time out with our new 13 Crusader. Having dry camped for years, I didn't give it a thought about dropping the trailer and setting the leveling in motion. Until I realized it sapped the batteries. So, the truck power will stay connected to the trailer until the leveling is complete and the slides are out. It will take awhile to get use to all the power gizmos on this RV.

Altho' they recommend not putting x chocks on before unhooking, I have installed them as the first thing after parking and the last thing removed before leaving a campsite to insure the trailer will not move. Have seen no ill effects, so I will continue the practice. Another thing I do is set the tow vehicle emergency brake BEFORE shifting into Park to make sure there is no pressure on the transmission from the trailer. I do this even when re-fueling or anytime I park the rig. I never rely on the transmissions Park to hold the rig. Set the emergency brake, shift to neutral and then to park.
