I'm waiting for an evaluaton to see if I have apnea. During a recent hospiltisation after an angioplasty, my daughter, who was watching me while I recoverd, noticed tha every few minutes, my respiration monitor flagged "APNEA". It was brief enough that the nurses dind't respond.

DW has said for seeral years that I suffer from apnea, but since I had never wakened feeling starve of oxygen, I didbn't accept her diuagnosis.

I will be going to our local hospital's sleep clinic in a couple of weeks to determine if I have a problem. If I do, I sure hope the CPAP machine doesn't disturb our sleep. I haven't had any "Oh my goodness I'm dying from lack of oxygen" incidents. DW reckons I have apnea because I snore so viloently that I ratttle the windows next door!

Judging from your symptom descriptions and speaking from personal experience, I predict that you are going to diagnosed with sleep apnea. The CPAP machines do create a certain amount of noise, but compared with your snoring, the DW probably won't even notice the machine running !!
