I have a 8318ss ,the problem i have is it won't go out with the switch. I have to do in manually. But it will come in with the switch. Can anybody tell me if it is a motor problem or a wiring problem. Thanks

Since the switch controls the direction of current flow through the motor, the fact that the slide works in one direction and not the other leads me to wiring or the switch itself.

If it was the motor, it would not turn in either direction.
If it was the fuse; ditto would not move at all.

Wiring in our campers are crimped on connections (and terminals) and a bad crimp may last for years before a wire pulls out. I would inspect the rear of the switch for this culprit.

I had some switch problems on mine in the past. Pulled the switch out and found I had to put a piece of gorilla tape over the connections to hold them up tight and allow everything to work (problem was internal to the switch). Bought a new switch and all's well for the last 3 years.
