Some useful or maybe not useful tips

A couple of tricks that you may find useful or not.

I use the shower hose to connect to the black tank flush. It allows me to flush without dragging out hose and I can use hot water for the flush. If I have to go to dump station (there isn't a long line waiting) I can still flush. Since this picture I have add an additional back flow preventor between the hose and the black water flush.

When we had a our Travel Trailer we bought these poles to make it easier to hook up but now we have a 5th wheel we still use them. Not really that big deal but just makes quick and easier for us rookies.

Where do you put the back flow does it just screw into the end? I'm not sure mine would have enough pressure to flush out.

We bought the back flow from camping world and is the just hooks to hose and put it between the flush connection and the hose. Ours makes excellent pressure hook up to the campground water and OK pressure using the on board pump.

And you solved a problem we had too. I want to use the outside shower to wash our big dogs that travel with us. The shower house is way to short. Relaxing it with a hose will help a lot.

I use the same method you do for rinsing the black tank. However, occasionally when I would leave it connected and we would change locations and we changed elevation the water would pressurize in the hoses and drain out of the hoses into under the sink where that siphon break is. We learned to store old towels under there until I figured out what was causing the water to enter there. When the "leak" occurred the 2 or 3 towels were soaked.

Now, when I'm done rinsing the black tank, I disconnect the quick-disconnect end of the blue hose and let the water drain out of all the lines onto the ground. It only takes 15 seconds. Then I just leave the blue hose quick-disconnect end disconnected until it's time to use it again. No more water under the sink with this method.
