Step stool needed

DW is doing well recovering from knee replacement. However, some of the places we have camped leave us on a bit of a pitch where the steps into the TT are too high for her to comfortably use. We tried a small step stool we already owned, but the surface area you are stepping onto didn't seem large enough to me. What we are looking for is a 6 to 7 inch tall step stool but with a larger platform or "landing area" for safety. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I would take a look at an aerobic step ( see link for example). They are fairly light, very strong and can be configured to several heights. They are also waterproof so they can be left out in rain and wipe clean easily.

Go to campingworld.com and run a search for "steps". They have several that will fit your situation.

NO! If you want a step for this year, please for the love of God do not order it from camping world! If you want it for next season you should be ok with them...but no guarantees.

Agreed. Call them. Ask them to call their warehouse (assuming they have one) and demand to know if it is in stock. Otherwise, you will be told it IS IN STOCK and 2 days later will be sent an email saying it is on back order. You will receive this email everyday for several weeks....

Didn't say order it from CW just look at what they have and use the part number to find another source. The manufactures part number is typically shown. DUH.

Have one of these and it works great. Very well built for something from Harbor Freight. Also you can find 20% off coupons in many magizines.

Platform size is 12" x 16"

Thanks all
We have a Harbor Freight close by and a coupon. The Aerobics platform is a good option too at 6" high. $90 for the SC is a bit spendy but if that works out to be the best option we can order from Amazon.
Once again appreciate the ideas and help!

Agree I would go with a aerobic step they have a nice wide base an height is adjustable. Pick one up at your local Walmart an save some $$$.

I to have had a knee replacement and I didn't pay the big bucks for one of those add a step things. I went to the thrift shop and bought an aerobic step it came with the extra raisers, I only paid $5, it is about the same width as most RV steps

I built one up out of scraps of 3/4" plywood.
About the same size as the trailer's steps, painted black and covered the step with antislip tape.
Sturdy and light enough to carry in the storage area !
Cost to me...0$

We bought the Camco Adjustable Step this year. It’s provides a strong wide step and the legs fold for storage, very sturdy. It’s available on Amazon and worth the money.

BTW Canonman, that is simply the best photo of Monument Valley I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing that one with us. Or is that somewhere else in the West?

RV Safety Step for me. YES, it was very spendy (worse, I had to buy a pair since I have 2 doors). But it works well for us.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Really liked the Camco, but at $90 I couldn't get the DW (CFO) to approve the financing. Decided on an aerobics exercise platform. Right height, Right size, Right price (on sale at Sears). This baby should work just fine.

Oakman, Photo is from John Ford Point. Story is that this was the camera location for the movie Stagecoach, (and possibly others). After a 5 a.m. sunrise shoot, I took the DW on the 17 mile loop road through the park. This was our last stop. The guy on the horse waits for the tour busses to pull up then walks "Ol Paint" out to the point for a few photos. Attached photo is my favorite from our Monument Valley tour. Hope you like it

We picked up one of these too when they were on sale at CW. Very stable and the abrasive tape on it gives sure footing.

This step came with our TT. It really helps the knees when your site has a slope to it. My wife loves it. Will build a lighter version this winter....under $30
