TeJay; As to the flexing of the corner jacks, that's where the Strong Arm bars come into play to help elminiate this flexing, Some of us like Old Coot and myself have designed and build our own at 1/4 the cost of buying the aftermarket kits out there.

I have the same problem with bounce in our TT, we have the electric jacks and use Bal X-chocks. This past week I was walking through my dads shop and happen to notice a pair of Bal scissor jacks up on some of the racking, I asked dad about them and he said that he bought them for a project and never ended up using them, so they are now sitting in my garage. I am going to try and mount them in front of the axles and hope that helps.
My parents new Open Range 5er has an auto leveling system on it and also the JT Strong Arm bars. Even without tightening the bars their 5er is soild, no movement at all. And the auto level system will raise the whole camper off the ground with ease.

PHS79; IMO with a duel axle trl the best place for the jack is between the 2 axles. Look at your parents leveling sys and it uses 2 jacks in front and 2 jacks behind the axles to take the bounce out of both axles. I think (IMO) that if you put the jacks in front of the front axle you could still get some bounce off the rear axle. This is why I place my jack between the 2 axles, It's not mounted, I just run it up with an elect impact wrench.

True, between the axles is probably the best location, but would also require alot more fab work to mount them there, and I would like to rigid mount them to keep them out have the little bit of storage we currently have. If front of the front axle would be much easier to mount, plus if I were to have a blowout then the jack would be less likely to cause more damage, also it would break up the span of the frame between the stabilizers more thus eliminating any possible movement from frame flex and also taking out some of the bounce from the suspension. From the rear stabilizer to the center of the axles is probably only about 5ft at most, where as in front of the front axle it is more like 7ft or so. (I will get the actual measurements when I go to my parents for Christmas today)

I took some measurements, they are rough measurements (but with in 1-2") as it was only 10deg with a breeze when I was taking them and I wasn't dressed for that...
front stabilizer to rear stabilizer, 17ft
rear stabilizer to between the 2 axles, 52"
rear stabilizer to front spring hanger, 84"
front stabilizer to front spring hanger, 10ft
I also talked with my dad about my little project and he had the same thoughts that I did. The center pivot of the suspension would be a total PITA to work around and if I did mount them there I would not be able to use my X chocks. So I am going to go with my original thought of mounting them just in front of the front spring hanger and work with the design from there.

PHS79, our suspensions being different is the difference, I have the Al-ko torsion flex axles, and there is a perfect metal plate between the axles for the jack to fit over and lift the bounce out of the axles.

I have the same setup as lindy, but, I chose to mount in front of the front axle due to the fact that if I had a blowout with the jacks mounted between the axles, the jack would be damaged if not destroyed or cause more damage and if the jacks are mounted between the axles I can not use the Bal Chocks. The jacks work just fine in front of the axles mounted to the 2 x 4 steel tube regardless of all the hypothesis to the contrary.

Old Coot, I didn't mount mine due to the blow-out issue you mentioned. I use an elect impact wrench to crank the jacks up and then install the wheel chock locks. I suppose I could weld up a mount and put them in front of the axle, but felt that a blow-out could still be an issue if the chunk of rubber went forward, and having had a blow-out before the rubber flyes every where in all directions as you've probably found out, Yes it's one more thing to carry in the storage compartment/

jacks in front of my Al-ko torsion flex axles
I mounted jacks in front of my Al-ko torsion flex axles, did not seem to do much. I think the rear electric jack is a joke. On our old Wild Cat, 5th wheel, we had the standard crank up jacks and did not have the movement that our new Rockwood has now. Not sure what I wil try come spring, may try mounting the jacks between the axles and replace the rear jack with something else.
