Surveillance cameras

Just got one recently after someone did a swoop and squat on me. Much better knowing I'll have their plate number next time and proof of what really happened.

So I feel maybe it'll be a real help should something happen by simply showing the video to a cop at the scene.

Anybody else have experience using the video to prove what happened?

Following.

I bought a camera for DW and kid cars for $30 on an Amazon deal. It was nice because it added a backup camera to an old car. I have not had issues where I have had to use it but I have been investigating for the truck when towing. How can I get an output from the furrion camera is the open question I have.

I do a lot of boondocking in the desert, we also off road away from camp and can be gone for hours leaving our camp unattended. I have cameras mounted all around the outside of my RV and cargo trailer. They are wired directly to the battery and run off of a Mobil hotspot I have on an old IPhone I leave in the RV. I am able to log in and view my camera while we are away. I also have custom stickers I had made warning people they are being recorded near the RV and have a larger sign I put up also to grab their attention. So far I have never had anyone come near the RV but have see a few people walk by, stop, look at our camp then keep walking.

When someone "swoops" right in front of you suddenly then slams the brakes on which makes their vehicle "squat". It's a tactic used by scammers to cause you to rearend them so they can sue the crap out of you. But if you have video of them doing it then they are the ones in trouble.

Oh it also helps with those who back into you while sitting at a red light. My father had that happen to him and his insurance paid the scammer off even though there was a second witness in my father's car. BTW I got the camera after I narrowly missed hitting a guy that pulled a swoop and squat on me.

I have a 4 camera night owl hd security camera system in my trailer.

One camera looking down each side, one looking forward over the truck, and one looking backwards.

This is connected to a gigabit Wi-Fi router so I can use my iPad as a viewing monitor in the truck.

These are all powered by external power bricks. So I have everything plugged in straight to 12v. Only draws 0.8 amps
