We just brought the camper from the storage to clean it, and I open the rv storage/bay door and it looked like this:

Those were the first two I thought about when I read your title
The third item is a mini roll of EternaBond tape.

LOL! we can relate!
One draw back to our prior V-Lite was the lack of basement/belly storage.
We traveled with the Winegard satellite dome sitting in the shower stall and our Char Broil in its stow-and-go duffle bag sitting on the living room floor. The "honey wagon" rode in the bed of the truck with the Yeti and the Zero Gravity lounge chairs.
Open the outside storage bay and JUMP BACK! DH is OCD about everything being neat, but with that small access door, which actually led to the storage under the queen bed, which was also accessible from inside, things always seemed to be tangled like 'sketti when we got home.
We are lovin' the pass through storage bay on the 5er. All but the honey wagon fits in there! And the small front storage (under the bedroom) is awesome for storing the 50 amp extension cord, 100' of satellite cable, extra water hoses, etc. We can even fit the stinky slinky in there (packed in one of those WalMart circular wreath storage cases).
If the weather holds out as predicted, we're hoping to *finally* do a shake down next weekend! (sigh) Bought 'er 01/04 and she's still a virgin.

Guess I'm overboard. Most of the above for sure. Also, spare 12v converter, pex and soft line plumbing (which includes the cutters, fittings, valves etc), torque wrench (for wheels and pin box bolts), spare lights, gas line fittings, fluids of all sorts, assorted electrical stuff (romex, wire nuts, connectors, smaller wire for 12v runs and all the electrical tools), rubber roof repair-dicor-sealant, and the list goes on. Bunch of mechanical tools as well. Can't remember everything we have. I've got quite the RV parts surplus, but I don't have to go hunt stuff down and have fixed many an issue away from home. We full time now, but have always carried the above where we don't have to call anybody or go anywhere when something goes wrong. A little overboard, maybe. But, if you ever are camping near us, shoot me a PM, we just might have it. I've been able to help a few people here and there in campgrounds with minor issues. I Fedexed some plumbing parts, vents and other spare motorhome parts to some of my Tiffin buddies last year just to help out and save them the trouble. Always willing to help.

I carry one in the PU's toolbox....it's my poor man's winch.
I used it to load the 1955 Chevy when I first picked it up.

I used to carry a lot more stuff as spares than I do now. (you can search for my old list here).
Now I use a "test" to see if I should carry it or not.
1) Can I buy it easily? Is it a stocked item at Wal-Mart or Lowes?
2) Would I need it if broken down on the side of the road to SAFELY change a tire? (Roadside Assist on car insurance policy if not)
3) If a camper spare, would it need to be special ordered or only available at a specialty camping dealer?
So:
Spare toilet flush valve: Yes
Spare SAE Fuses: Yes
Spare LED interior Pad: Yes
Spare male and female ends for main power cord: Yes
Various Adapters for power and water connections: Yes
30 Amp extension cord: Yes
Bottle Jack and wood 12x12x12 pads: Yes
Tire Changing tools: Yes
Tow Strap: Yes (used to carry a chain but this weighs a LOT less)
Large (10 pound) Fire Extinguisher for outside camper door
Two small (2.5 pound) Fire extinguishers (1 inside truck, 1 inside camper)

Yes, these are required by law in PA. (I also carry road flares too.)

Having fought ants numerous times --- and careful to not use pesticides --- I carry corn meal. When sprinkled around, ants can be controlled in a harmless manner.
Does anyone have other ideas?
