Every now and again you'll see a sewer hose along the side of the road where someone's end cap came off and the hose followed. You may have seen them before, but now you know what they are and will understand.

Ditto. I made a holder out of 5" square plastic fence post and attached it to the underside of the unit.

" Bought new end caps guaranteed to not fall out' So the cap falls off and somewhere your hose falls out they say sorry here's a new cap,

Just got a call from my son yesterday checking in to see how I was doing ....he was passing a camper at that time on the highway....camper was dragging 25 feet of sewer hose from his rear bumper going down the highway at 65 mph.....hose flying everywhere....for some reason he said it made him think of me.....don't ask why....

We Were in the Yosemite area, in our previous 5th wheel, 7-8 years ago going around a curve, like a switchback, and had no idea ours flew out. We parked somewhere, a guy behind us came up to us and told us our sewer hose flew out about 10 miles or so on a curve. He said not to bother going after it, it flew down the mountain.

That works for me. Rhino hose fits if you turn the connectors to fit in the corners of the bumper. I've never lost an end cap or had a problem with rust. Drain the water out of the hose before storage.

The bumpers the best, I use to keep my hoses in a closed plastic bin in the storage compartment, always had an odder as much as I rinsed them

This is exactly why we don't. Also, we have had hornets make nests in ours.

Same here. I have 20' of hose in the fence post and another 10' in a tote.

Yeah, rust and potential abrasion of the hose makes me want to not keep it in there.

I lost an end cap and went to CW to replace it. For around $10 I bought a pair that have slits, not holes and you have to squeeze them to loosen to remove. No more problems.

That was my thinking. Every time you slide that hose in or out you're abrading the plastic.

I guess I have to be that guy, but my unaltered rhino fits in my 4x4 bumper. I have a tackle box also strapped to the bumper where I keep the elbow and a bag of disposable gloves.

Attached the 5 inch post underneath, placed a section of plastic gutter from Lowes, 20 feet of hoses fits great with little or no movement. Can pull out gutter to add or remove hose. Cut gutter a bit shorter than post, store elbow and 90 for the sewer dump. Also have a pint jar secured with cable tie that I store a few pairs of gloves, all in one place. Store the cheap hose that the dealer gave me, great for rv dump sites when I can find one. Dealer hose does not matchup to hoses I bought.

What do you use as a cap?

You must have posted pictures of it some time ago. I copied your setup exactly. It is SO easy to store hoses this way. Thank you for the tip!
