I haven't had a tick on me since I started using sawyer permetherin spray on my early season hunting/work clothes. It lasts a couple washes. I also go through a lot of DEET.

A coworker has Alpha-Gal and can no longer eat red meat. That's the easy part. The hard part is that he lost his medical and a career as an airline pilot as a result of the anaphylactic shock he had during a flight after eating a roast beef sandwich. He found out about his new issue after 10 days in a coma.

They don't jump, they don't fall. They either climb, or you brush up against something and they're sitting there waiting for you. Ask any expert on insects and they will tell you...."Ticks do not jump off trees or bushes."

WHY ??? Because Ticks can't jump. They're built to climb and latch on.

Heading down to cabin this weekend. I'm going to pick up some Permethrin. A lot of you have commented about using it and that tells me...that many people can't be wrong.

I have watched the ticks get on my jeans, and immediately fall off. The stuff works. I still inspect thoroughly after a day in the woods, but the only places I find them are where I wasn't wearing clothes sprayed down with sawyer (which is one of the big reasons I'll wear long sleeves even when it's in the 90s when doing work on the hunting property).

Same here. Long sleeves, tuck pants in socks, wear my high top boots and I'm going to get some Permethrin
