Toad or dingy trick

I saw a class A, going down the interstate today, while i was coming back from the Tulsa boat and rv show. Anyways the class A was towing a Ford Excape, 4 down, with tow lights on top of the toad, and a whip- kind of like a fiberglass CB antenna that was attached horizontally to the roof luggage rack and stuck out the drivers side a couple of feet with a little red flag attached.
At first I though, "what the heck is that", then it dawned on me, thats how they can tell that thier toad is still there. They just look in their mirror and see the little whip/flag and know thier tow vehicle is still there!

Anyways I thought this was a neat trick! Maybe it will help someone!!!

I was always looking in the rear view mirror for my HHR, I could just see the top of the radio antenna. Other than that, I never knew it was back there.
