Trick for stabilizing trailer when parked
This past weekend while camping at biketoberfest my wife was saying how much she wished we could keep our toy hauler from moving when we are walking around. I knew about the JT arms and that gave me an idea. I had an adjustable cargo bar in the back of my truck so I grabbed it, put it between the jack and frame, tightened it and wow what a difference in minimizing movement. It worked so well I drove over to Lowes and bought three more for 20.00 each and put them in place on all four jacks and now our RV is damn near solid and as an added benefit I use them to stabilize cargo in our storage compartments when traveling

How did you attach it to the frame?

I didn't attach it I put one end against the jack and the other against a frame rail cross beam

Interesting idea and less expensive then what I did, I went the steady fast route to achieve a stable platform.

Well they do say necessity is the mother of invention or at least some redneck engineering. On a positive note they worked well and have other uses

Great idea! It won't work for my Wildcat because I don't have access to the cross members of the frame. My entire undercarriage is covered in. I suppose I could weld a permanent bracket to the frame and use that but not sure I want to go to the expense or the trouble.
Love the idea though!!

Same here... the coroplast sheeting is attached to some sort of bracket that hangs down below the frame, so no direct access to the frame itself.

Interesting. I was thinkin....
The Mor-Ryde Suspension (and others) has a cross bar that goes across from one frame rail to the opposite frame rail (just behind the axles). What if you put one of these cargo bars from say the base/foot of the right-rear scissor jack up to the corner where that cross bar intersects the frame on the left. And then add a second cargo bar from the foot of the left scissor jack up across to where the right scissor jack attaches to the frame.
Basically, its one cargo bar between the 2 scissor jacks at rear AND one cargo bar at an angle from a rear scissor jack up to the frame cross bar.

Don't the braces that go in between the wheels stop the movement?

They do, but rubber is soft and will move regardless how tight the chocks are. Also, rubber changes with temperature so that is also a factor .

I am headed to Harbor Freight tomorrow to pick up a couple of these and try this out. Great Tip! I already have one in the bed of the pickup so I may only have to get 3 more.

Here are a couple more pictures showing a little better detail of how I place them. I hope those of you that try it have as good of results as I did and that you find it a useful tip
