TST 507 Receiver Mount for F250

I made a mount for my TST 507 receiver that should work for 2008-2016 F250's with the little coin storage thing in the dash. It attaches to the removable bracket on the rear of the receiver and wedges into the coin slot in the dash. Here are some photos if my description is clear as mud.

Nice idea but you have to take your eyes from on the road to look at it. I just use a piece of Velcro and use the tray mount on the dash..

I look when I first turn it on. No need to keep looking, that's what the audible alarms are for.

Ok, might as well put it in your pocket then.

I sure like to monitor mine to see if pressure is changing. If I see a tire starting to drop I would immediately get off the road to check. Would not want to wait until alarm went off. Each to his own..

I have used a "sand bag" type mount on the dash which can easily be turned to the driver or the passenger. Have had it for 6 years, and it works great.

I have mine mounted in the same location but using a bit of that ultra sticky double sided gel; Works well and can be removed if I want. I even mounted the indicator light for my aux tank pump system right under it so I only have to look in one spot to tell me what I need to know while driving and transferring fuel.

I mount it on the windshield on the passenger side and appoint my wife "Guardian of the Tires."

Where did you get the black plastic piece that mounts to the rear of the receiver?

The only problem I see with that mount is that the antenna is very low and the signal has to travel through the metal body. As long as it works for you that's great. My problem has been that I have to mount it in a place where the signal is nearly line of sight to the tires. When I mounted it lower my receiver would sometimes lose the signal and we would get the loud alarm.

Even with mine mounted on top of the dash to the left of the steering wheel I kept having sensors drop off.

I had to get a repeater to solve the problem.

I can tell you that these guys are as "GOOD as Gold". They solved the one issue I had quickly and perfectly..............Better than I had hoped, actually!

Almost 3k miles towing with it mounted like this and no signal drops.

That looks GREAT Mike, if my monitor ever quits I will replace it with the color unit.

I bought the color monitor for the truck, and will use my old monochrome unit in my trailer as a constant pressure monitor in my electronics closet. If it goes off in the middle of the night, I will silence it with the knowledge that I will have something with which to deal in the morning.

Of course, should the color monitor ever require a trip back to TST for some kind of repair, I have a spare ready to go. However, given the reliability of my mono unit, which I have had for over four years, I doubt the color one will have problems. Maybe a firmware update? Who knows?

The new unit's cradle mount is just going to sit on top of my dash in the same place the old one did. The photo in Post #3 could be mine (it isn't), only with a fuzzy dash mat. It's my preferred location for keeping an early-warning eye on my pressures.
