VENT STIK by Barker Mfg

Ok... so we got our brand NEW Work & Play 25 ULA. Love it!!

However the roof vents are just a little out of my reach.
I found this little vent stik by Barker on ther internet.

It hooks to the know so you can open it.
Does anyone our there have one of these little gadgets... and does it REALLY work? Is it worth $20 bucks?

Please let me know.

I just received this item today! I put it in my A-Frame to test it out & most definitely "Yes" it does work quite well. I am not sure I will keep it tho because the vent stick knob that replaces my existing knob is a little bit longer length. This might pose a problem when I fold down the A-Frame, there might be interference in closing it up. I will see how it goes tomorrow. I hope it'll be fine, because I really love how easy it is to just use the stick and turn to open....no more climbing or stepping up on something to open the vent.

Hello Handbuilder,
Keep me posted on how the vent stik works in the future.

We have had the vent stick for about a year works good, have not had any problems with it. You will enjoy the convenience of not having to get a step stool out to open the vent.

Darn, The vent stick knob is too long & causes interference with closing my trailer. My ceiling collapses on itself to close and the knob is too tall to allow this to happen. The Barker company has no plans to make a shorter knob. I am sadly going to return it. I did have fun playing with it, opening and closing my vent & feeling oh-so-cool while my feet were planted firmly on the floor! LPL

You could build your own vent knob by drilling the old one for the ring to fit an install the ring from the new one.
