I saw a YouTube video where a factory rep stated that the single conventional friction bar provided 80 lbs of anti-sway but the Equalizer E4 provided 800 lbs. That sold me right there and I have never regretted the purchase. I even bought mine from a member here. Actually two members, first I got the 1K hitch and decided to go bigger for the 12k. I am still under 1/2 the new price.

Backing, tight cornering and noise are a non-issue. The only time it comes of is when I am disconnected.

Reminds me ~~ I have a 1000/10,000 only used 4 times as we were going to go bigger,,, we did but to a 5er.

X2. Someone on this forum recommended those plastic Sway Bracket Jackets from Equalizer, ("cushion / plastic things"), for noise and those were the ticket. I was worried about showing up to camp late in the evening and having all the squeaking and squealing but those Jackets completely stopped the noise. So far have not needed to remove my bars.

I have the E2 equalizer WD hitch and bought the plastic noise prevention inserts as well. I took them back off because I noticed less sway control. Equalizer states that is part of what happens when you use them. I wonder if an E4 would be better using them than the E2. They do eliminate the noise completely.

My F150 and FR Wildwood travels well on the open road with Sway and WDS. At campsite, I remove the sway bar only, UNLESS I have to make a tight back in move. Then the WD comes off too, as I find it restricts my angle. The F150 sag is not much (no airbags). At home, with a similar concern, I have a second, simple hitch. I remove all of my travel gear, and reattach the simple hitch (2-5/16 ball). This allows me maximum turning angle for my tight driveway, which also includes a hill. Camping World suggested this. Perhaps they just wanted to sell another stinger!
