What do you do if not using TT for 2 weeks?

What do you do to "temporarily" store your camper between uses. I won't be using it for a couple weeks. Last time I shut off the breakers and propped the refrigerator open. Should you disconnect the battery? IT was pouring down rain when I got back this evening and will have to go back tomorrow to shut it down for a couple weeks. I don't have power to hook to, but want to make sure nothing is ruined from sitting between camping trips.

I would add a battery shut off switch if you don't have one. It works best if it is between the battery pos terminal and everything else. In addition to eliminating the drain from parasitic draws like CO/propane detector, it prevents people turning on things like power jack lights etc which will kill battery. Just make sure to turn back on before towing or you will not have break-away brakes. I would also remove any food not in sealed containers.

If you don't have time to install a shut off, just take the negative cable off the battery and shut the propane tank(s) off.

Ours routinely sits for several weeks between trips. Disconnect battery (or use battery disconnect switch if you have one) to prevent parasitic draw. Open fridge doors to prevent mold. We take food out but leave a few things like sugar (in a Tupperware container), salt pepper,cooking spray in. Drinks stay in unless they need to be refrigerated. Toiletries stay in. Turn propane off. Keep wheels chocked and landing gear down (tongue Jack in your case). We leave stab jacks up. If worried about ants spray around trailer. If you have an electric tongue Jack, we used to cover ours on our old tt.

Battery disconnect, turn propane off, put all slides in. Any longer I empty fridge and keep it open to prevent mold growth.

I just back it up to the carport,unload the cart (because we use it daily here),plug it in, and do what ever PM is needed for the next run. From may to late oct we are never more than 5 or 6 days before we leave again,except on the 3 holiday week ends when we are ALWAYS home.Usual time out is 1 to 3 weeks,so it doesnt sit still long.

I also drain the water from the water heater....we've had that rotten egg smell from old water in there and never want that again!!

One thing I always check after letting the camper sit, and before leaving on the next outing, is tire pressure. We just found one of the four tires had a nail in the inner side wall, which wasn't noticable and it looked good, so we had to replace it. No telling how long we ran on a low tire coming home recently from Florida.

Living in FL all the liquids get too hot & the first time storing liquid soaps, bug repellant & sunscreens in the camper it was a mess to clean up under the sink. Now I store all those in cardboard 6 pack holders & bring them in & out with the shower bags plus it let's me take a quick peak to refill whatever needs adding to before we head out again (mid-May ...countdown is on from last weekend coming home)
