We use the Stormate garbage bag holder by Thetford. It holds a 13 gallon or larger kitchen trash bag. It collapses to a small 2" tall nearly flat square, very easy to store when not in use. It also has a lid, thereby keeping bugs out.

As you can see in the photo, we use a large rock placed on the base to keep it from blowing over. I recommend this neat bag holder to anyone tired of tying their bag on awning poles or dealing with flies and yellowjackets that love to hover over trash.

Think minumulistic trash. We use the small kitchen trash can INSIDE for ours and only have to change the bag every 3 days of so. Then most of our trash is from the morning newspaper. Take a close look at what you're taking and what type of container (throw away/reusabel) it's in. Like YOUROO said some campgrounds are death on ANY trash outside, just an invite for critters, to say nothing about the looks of campsites full of trash bags.

I only use the inside trash can as well. I learned the hard way by having my camp overrun with skunks one night who were looking for food.

We use one of these, plus you can fold it down and put it away at night.

We use the trash cans inside and for the outside we keep a trash bag in the bed of my truck which has a cover. Once the bag is full we dump in the campground dumpster.

Just the inside trash can and we always put it in the CG dumpster at night just before bed unless it's a KOA and they have designated garbage pickup times.

We use a milk crate lined with a small trash bag. Mostly beer and soda cans. The crate won't blow away like many trash cans will in this South Texas wind.

We have a red one of those and the nightly dog walk goes by the main dumpster. It must be emptied nightly to keep the critters out.

We use the same thing but ours is much too large for normal bags. (Our fault, not the trash can's fault.) We also empty it nightly.

That said, I really like the garbage bag holder thing that was first posted. I might need to get one of those.
