What is this stuff and how do I get rid of it?
I have these small black/dark brown raised dots all over the drivers side of my Sunseeker. I can scratch most of the bump off with my fingernail, but the brown dot underneath needs to be polished off. Trying to figure out what that are, how to get rid of them (without having to polish them off one at a time), and how to prevent them in the future....

we get that if we park a vehicle under or within 20 ' of the choke cherry trees,of which we have many. Goo-gone will take it off but its a lot of work.

try a rag with mineral spirits or paint thinner and if they dissolve they are petroleum based...
I used to get them all over the white chairs around my pool, although mine were no bigger than pinheads. I blamed them on being 20 miles from the local airport, but we were far enough out that big jet planes turned while accelerating to fly much higher over my house. That happened 10 times a day. I figured it was some exhaust fallout of some sort. After having them for a few years, the airport built another runway, which diverted the traffic away from me and the dots disappeared for good.

Looks like iron or tar deposits. Look up www.CarPro-USA.com there is a product called Iron-x and Tar-x. Spray it on and it will dissolve the iron deposits and rinse off. Also look it up on YouTube and check out the videos. I use it works excellent.
I have iron in our water that leaves iron deposits in our shower and it takes it right off. Professional auto car detailers use it also.
If you go to [url=http://www.CarPro-USA.com don't be surprised if you buy some other items also for your RV/Car finish. They have some of the best car products on the planet. No you won't find the stuff at any Wal-MART or Auto Parts place.. They have ceramic coating for your paint that's rated in years as to how long it lasts.

I have the same issue, mostly on the roof and drivers side of a PUP. I was thinking it might be from flies. I worked at it today with no luck. I'm afraid to try anything too harsh.

I think I had the same stuff on my side wall. But the spots were only on the side where I had a post light in my driveway. Come to find out I was told by an entomologist that they were caused by some kind of insect at night. I tried everything to get the dots off but nothing worked. Then I made a watery paste using baking soda and water and I used that to rub the dots off. I then applied a couple of coats of gel coat wax to keep future "dots" from sticking. This is the wax I used :Meguiar's M5016 Marine/RV One Step Cleaner Wax....can be found on Amazon.

If it is from bugs, always had good luck with a couple of dryer sheets soak in water.

Fly poop. It can be washed off with soap and water and soft brush.

It's tobacco juice. Spit harder.

We have a problem with spider droppings where we live. The only product we have found that works is this a product called Drop Off. This stuff works like magic so I bought a case and handed out bottles to my neighbors. I don't think it's in many stores, but you can get it direct from the manufacturer or on Amazon.

OK...tried tar remover...no good. Definately not tobacco juice! Showed up after being parked in the driveway for a few weeks...this is the side that faces the trees. Thinking something insect based. Does not come off with soap and water. I'll try dryer sheets this week...didn't think of that. It's not bug jerky, but doesn't hurt to try....
Thanks for the suggestions...if I find a winner I'll let you all know!

I would try Formula 409 cleaner or plain old ammonia mixed with water. Seems to work well on fly poop, but I have never tried it on an RV.
