Smile Wheels with Center caps

I recently had a flat tire and had roadside assistance come out and put the spare on. I had it repaired at a Tire Dealer, from the inside , and put it back on by myself.
I want to pass on some info;
My 2014 Silverado has a bottlejack that will work with my travel trailer. Due to the short lifting height, I set the bottlejack on a 6x6 piece of wood I keep in the bed of the truck for the what if. The lug wrench is not the same size as the trailer. Bought the one I needed from PepBoys, to keep in the truck tool bag, just in case.
When I went to put the center cap back on, a week or so later, I discovered it was supposed to be put on from the back side FIRST, then install the wheel.
Had to pull all the tools back out to jack up the trailer,pull the wheel, install the cap, put it back on.
A newbie mistake, but a lesson learned.

Another tip along those lines for the center caps on the steel wheels that pop on an off (plastic ones). Use a paint can lib remover to pop them off without a fuss. The little bend works great and they are cheap at the HD.
