Windex for tinted windows

I have a Ď19 Cedar Creek. Can I clean the windows with Windex (or other Ammonia based cleaner? Iíve heard the ammonia will damage some tinted windows...

Do NOT use ammonia based glass cleaner. Itíll ruin the tint. Windex makes one without amonia and there are others too. Frankly they do a better job with no streaks.

Most windex is now made with ammonia-d which is safe for tinted windows.

In regards to ammonia based Windex, I have "heard" it "may" damage or bleach window tinting. No proof has been displayed to me!

I use Invisible Glass. The window tinting company I use recommends Windex with vinegar. This is sold at Wal-Mart and clearly displays the word vinegar on the label.

Glass factory fired tinted glass is ammonia safe.
Aftermarket window tint film is not.
Big difference!

I can clean the rear doors and back window in my new truck with windex but the front doors and windshield are aftermarket tint film and I use window cleaner specifically labeled tinted windows safe.

Good old vinegar water mix does a great job. Be sure to use apple cider vinegar.

Tint concern or not, Invisible Glass is the best.
