Winterizing Keurig Coffee Brewer
If you travel or leave your Keurig brewer in a (Freezing) unheated area the pump and valve area will (Freeze/Bust). PS don't pump (R/V antifreeze) into your coffee pot either! Youroo!!

Good reminder. We brought our Tassimo in the house just for this reason.

I have the mini single cup Keurig maker and you can empty it completely by pressing the brew button with the power off and holding it until it totally empty's the reservoir.. That is why we bought this particular model.

Thanks, garbonz. Good tip. I hadn't even thought about there being any residual water in our single-cup K-10 brewer. I guess I was under the impression that everything you put in was pumped back out to make your coffee.

Is this true with all coffee makers or just that type? I left my cheap auto drip in the camper. Don't want any surprises when I start camping and don't have any coffee but a big mess

I turned mine upside down until no water ran out and then stuffed it back in the pantry with a towel around it.
Will look at it when I flush the A/F out of the trailer.

Only the keurigs have a pump that can freeze. the regular drip one just heat all the water and the steam forces the hot water up and through the grounds. I don't think there is much freeze danger with them
