1st trip in the books

The 1st trip of 2015 season is in the books! We looked like two fish out of water. The wife and I started our season at calhounfalls state park, in south Carolina. We saw a couple that was getting married. Seen a few new ideas we are going to try, we got rained on for the first time. We made it through last season we out get wet on any trip (8 total). We got a new tow unit, 2004 trail blazer, the wife said it towed better than our old 1999 jimmy. Next trip in two weeks.

We made our first trip of this season from March 11-15, near Portal, AZ. Not only had there been a flood that damaged roads and closed the campgrounds we expected to use, but it was cold. We had to camp in the boonies, but we were near a running stream (not the branch that flooded) and had a good time anyhow. We got back yesterday from our second trip, which was to a KOA near Phoenix, where we went for the Highland Games. It was in the mid-90s there, so we're playing the temperature-swing game. Our next trip isn't till the end of April. :-(

Glad you were able to get out camping. I am still frozen in here in Boston.
