228D Power lift

New to the forum, but glad I found you. Here's the scene - replaced our 12 yr old Jayco popup w/ a 2009 Flagstaff 228D. Dealer said it'd had "one weekend trip" before being traded for a hardshell, thus there's apparently no warranty in effect. Dealer had the camper popped when we bought it and showed how the power lift worked by dropping it a few inches, then back up. Preparing for our first trip about a month later, the power lift only went up about 2 feet before grinding to a halt, accompanied by a faint clicking noise. Suspecting a bad battery, we replaced it, but the results were the same & the battery dealer said "if this doesn't do it, you have a lift motor problem" - which we suspect is the case. The top lifts fine w/ a drill, but that's kinda slow.
Anyone out there had a similar problem w/ Flagstaff power lifts? Other than that, we love the 228D - fits our camping style perfectly.

Most likely a curcuit breaker or fuse problem. Either a 50 or 60 amp.

Refer to the manual troubleshooting guide(page 9) and also this thread

Thanks Milzat. I'll check the 50 & 60 amp fuses/breakers. Guess the breaker could be the clicking noise I heard. Thanks also for the link to the winch manual! I'm having to assemble all the individual component manuals since the dealer didn't provide any....Go Saints.
