3 way Fridge question

I have a 2015 Rockwood HW276. I parked and set it up to unload from last trip and getting ready for this weekend. PUP is still set up but I want to turn the fridge on and load it in the morning. The PUP is level front to back but it is not level side to side. I have a BAL leveler or an Anderson but cant use either without putting the PUP down and moving it to cement. question is can i turn the fridge on and run it even if its not level front to back? fridge is located along the side on the PUP.

Better off leveling as best you can. I try to park my unit in a place that I can make it level for that reason. So i throw a board under the wheel if I have to make the side to side level.

Just for the future, Dometic suggests level as possible however if the floor is "comfortable" to stand on it is ok to operate the fridge.

I don't believe you can hurt it, it just may not get cold. Give it a try.

For side install fridges, front to back leveling is all that matters so the ammonia is allowed to trickle back down and recirculate.

Thanks everyone for the answers. I moved to trailer so I could level it. Floor did feel lean to 1 side.

That is good to know. Front to back is most important. That is good as that is the easiest to do.

Btw, be sure you are level before lifting the roof..... being unlevel is now I broke my lift cable. Scared the crap out of me when it came slamming down when it was halfway up...... and that is one heavy roof. Puts uneven stress on the cables.

The most important is getting the fridge level side to side (of the fridge).

For most trailers this will be the front to back of the trailer because the fridge is mounted sideways to the trailer. If the fridge is mounted otherwise, like in the rear or on a 45 then that'll change. But as long as you can stand in front of the fridge and it's level side to side of the fridge then you're ok.

That's not to say you can completely ignore the other direction. I wouldn't want to try using a fridge that's level side to side, but pitched 30 degrees front to back (again, of the fridge).

That would scare the crap out me as well. What the heck did you end up doing that day? Was the trip over?

If you want a lot of good info on pop up campers, including leveling for fridge operation, make your way over to the popup portal forums.
