625D black water tank

Hi Guys, new to the forum here. I picked up a 2014 625D and so far have loved it. The PO had literature on everything but the blk water tank. I understand how it works but have some questions.

1) The red arrow is a sight glass, but for what ?
2)The yellow arrow points to a fill of some thing,
3) Black arrow some kind of button?
4) Blue arrow points to a funnel of some sort, but for what ?

Not sure yet if we will ever use it but just might.

Hi Charger. What you have is called a cassette toilet. It is not commonly referred to as a black tank which some pop ups have and Travel trailers have. Black tanks are permenant and cannot be removed like your cassette toilet.

The yellow arrow is pointing to a fill pipe where one would pre-mix blue tank storage chemical. The red arrow is pointing to a sight glass that raises as you fill the tank with blue stuff (from yellow arrow). Note that the blue stuff will flush and refresh yur tank after each flush. a wonderful thing that we with black tanks do not have the benefit of.

The black arrow is a air intake that is depressed when you dump the tank. It allows air to enter for a faster discharge. It eliminates a vacumn effect.

I do not know what the blue valve is. Sorry.

The Blue arrow is the funnel you can use when filling the storage tank for the flush water. It goes in the yellow arrow tube.

My pop-up had the same arraignment. I just used normal clear water for the flush water (yellow arrow), the red is your flush water level gauge (to drain your flush tank, you pull the clear tube DOWN and out so the water drains away from the camper body).

Use the funnel the blue arrow points to so you can fill the flush tank, water will be visible in the fill tube.

For your cassette tank, I put enough water to cover the bottom, and throw in a tank deodorizing pack to keep odors at bay.

To drain the cassette, you can either use the dump station at the campground or a toilet. I used a sewer hose placed over the tube, pressed the little green button, and dumped it out, thought the hose into the dump station's drain. Works really well.

Thanks Fellas, like I had said I don't know IF i'll ever use it . I would absolutely dread having to drain it.

This is a great site and thanks to all of yall I've learned a lot about pups. Its nice not sleeping on the ground.

I don't want to derail this thread but will point out that the installation of a Blue Streak chemical dispenser will provide this benefit to those with a black tank.
