A Few Questions About My New Rockwood HW276

Hello Folks,

We just purchased a new Rockwood HW276 camper and will pick it up a in a few days from the dealer. I have a few questions in regards to preparing for the camper.

1) Does anyone have a copy of the manual online? This is a 2013 Rockwood, but I know it is the same as 2012 and possibly earlier years. If you know of a link or have an eletronic copy please let me know. I would like to read it from cover to cover before I do a PDI with the dealer so I can be better prepared and ask the right questions.

2) What is the best type battery to buy for this camper? I don't mind paying a little more for better quality. Even though batteries in the Arizona heat do not last more than 2-3 years in general. Any recomendations would be appreciated.

3) Has anyone made a step-by-step checklist for setting up a Rockwood tent trailer that they would like to share?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. This is our first tent trailer experience and any help would be greatly appreciated.

FR doesn't provide any online manuals.
only the manufacturers do, of things like: the fridge, converter, a/c, furnace and so on.

as far as i know, FR doesn't provide any model or type-specific owner's manual.
they are all generic to cover all types of RVs.

my hybrid's manual only had separate sheets for setting up the canvas ends, canvas care and maintenance.
nothing else was specific for the hybrid.

as far as batteries, are you going to be dry camping, boondocking or always having hookups? if you always have hookups, then just a plain deep cycle group 24 battery will do.
if you plan on dry camping or boondocking a group 27 or two group 24 batteries will let you camp longer.

suggest you do a search the Tent Camper/A-frame/ Popup section, for a checklist. i'm sure that there's already a thread about one.

There is a copy of the manual you will most likely get in the FAQ section.

Thanks for the information. I was able to find a good checklist application for my Droid phone.
