Forest River told me that the roof can hold additional 400 pounds. Even the AC is 85 pounds, so you should be good with your panels.

Steamboatscott. Was that just holding it or lifting it? I know the service guy at the dealer sat on my highwall roof (closed) but I don't think it should be lifted while he was on it.

FR told me not to replace the bag awning with a roll out style cause of weight but that could just be because the weight would be on 1 side.

I would encourage you to confirm directly with Forest River since they're only a phone call away, but my quote of 400 pounds was standing still, not lifting the roof. I'm assuming that since an AC on top at around 85 pounds is ok, yours without AC and with a solar panel would be fine. Again, I'd just call them.

I would be concerned exactly where the panel is fastened for support and roof sealing, i would think FR could help with that .

Flexible Panel

I glued a 100 watt flexible panel to mine with silicone. It won't come off, no holes in the roof, and it weighs next to nothing. Nothing to catch the wind either.
