Air conditioner for Rockwood Freedom 1910

Can anyone tell me what kind of rooftop air conditioner is recommended for this model camper?
I got an outstanding deal on this camper as a new old stock model from a motorsports place that got out of the rv business.
4800.00 but it didn't come with AC.

Also, it has the AC wiring kit but is the roof reinforced for an air conditioner?

Based on what I have read I should be able to do the install myself just looking for some guidance.

Thanks,
Bill

If it has the wiring, then the roof is reinforced. Take the vent down, from inside, and see if it is boxed, then you are good for AC. Since you didn't list where you are, the small, 13,500 BTU would be fine in Alaska, but might need the 15,000 BTU in Texas.

Sorry for my lack of info..

I am in Missouri and it gets really hot here sometimes so it sounds like the 15K may be the way to go.

Are there any brands to steer clear of?

15k is for big RVs and you'll be fine with a 13.5k in your popup.

Some sort of insulating blanket for the tent tops as I recall. I'm sure the tent camper folks will follow up with a link.
