Another Battery Thread!

Driving 8 hours tomorrow to pick up my Rockwood 2560G. First trip is 5 nights at Elkmont in the Smokies so I am going to replace the batteries right off the bat with 2 6v golf cart batteries.

Prices around here (including core charges) are:

Sam's Club Duracell EGC2 - $124.82
Trojan T-105 - $144.00
US Battery US-2200 - $145.00

Since they are all so close in price (but still expensive geez!) I think I will go with the US Battery.

Good decision?

I plan to get a solar set up eventually but I'm not ready for that yet. I did have a question that pertains to any set of 6v golf cart batteries. What size cable should I use to connect them together...4ga or 0ga or does it matter?

thanks

Can't help you with the batteries but we had a 2560G and loved it. Great choice. Congrats!

I think either Trojan or US Battery; but that's partly my own bias (Trojan T-145s) and because I am unfamiliar with the first brand of batteries. 4 gauge between the batteries is more than enough because of the short distance (I'm assuming that 4ga will be bigger cable than the rest of the trailer's wiring; which it should be).
