Battery connection questions
I feel like a total idiot for doing this, but I would rather come here then embarrass myself and pay a large bill at the repair place. I have a 2006 Rockwood Premier 2302 with the electric lift. For the winter, I disconnected the batteries for them to remain on a trickle charge. Well, I got hurt in the spring so I didn't get to mess with the camper, and now that I'm well, and it being over 7 months since I messed with the camper, I can not remember for the life of me which connections go to which terminal. I remember the white cord is negative, but thats about it. Any help please for someone that feels very embarrased right now

The negative side goes to ground and the positive side feeds the power panel. You should double check that the white wire, which you say is negative, is grounded to the camper frame.

Do you have more than 2 wires? if so where do they lead to? If only 2 wires go with Dave's feedback. If more than 2 let us know and more detail will be provided.
Enjoy

I should have been more indepth. I have a total of 4 wires. I am 100% certain the white is the ground as I see the connection to the frame. I have a black wire with a red cap. Then I have another black wire that runs through the fuse "20" with a red wire that follows that and goes to another connection that has a grounding point on a 4 screw "transformer"

Can you post a picture of the wires and connection points?

I agree with crunchman12001 on posting pictures. The fused wire will go to positive but it is not your main TT feed wire probably something like power tongue jack, electric lift. Either pictures or get someone familiar with wiring to get you hooked up.

Anything with an in-line fuse, resettable circuit breaker or auto-resetting circuit breaker would be connected to the power (+) side of the battery. Things like tongue jacks, power stabilizers and slide drives are wired directly to the positive side of the battery with in-line protection.
