bed slides not going all the way in ..trailer won't close

Just bought new to me 2000 Flagstaff 8 foot tent trailer 9also my first tent trailer). I was hoping to be able to set-up and take down myself. Am finding that the bed's don't want to slide all the way in, you have to lower the top all the way and then by shear force push them in past the lip and then two people sat on the corners to get the clasps done. Doesn't seem right. Any tips, or thoughts?? Thanks!

That shouldn't be happening. The bunk ends should sit flush with the trailer box. My first thoughts that the canvas is getting caught on the bunk slides. With the top up, push them in until they stop, then go around and see why it's stopping. If the canvas is hanging and you can unzip the panels partway, that may make it easier. It could also be a cushion or something sticking up. That will generally catch on the leading edge of the bed. Also, check the bed rails towards the inside ends and make sure they're not bent or damaged.

You probably have a failed support roller. Check the rollers.
