Bike roof rack for 1940 LTD

Hey all! Just joined up. I'm looking to see if anyone has a bike roof rack on their 1940 LTD (or any pop up for that matter) and/or a cargo carrier (Yakima, Thule, etc).

If so, what brand? Home made? How does it mount? If it's screwed to the roof, where? Any and all help is appreciated. I would like to get 2-3 bikes on the camper roof to make room in my pickup bed.

Thanks,

Kevin

We have had the Pro Rac system on ours for a few years now. Easy to use and quick. Holds up to 4 bikes. Keeps them out of the truck bed. I didn't really want to drill into my roof.

1940 bike rack

Great question! I also have the 1940 pup- the Prorac looks good except I took some measurements and think I may have to modify to fit- would love to hear of any 1940 owner who has successfully used the Prorac before I spned the $?

I loved the Prorac except that my propane tank tray covers the top of the A frame. My mod would be to drill holes in the tray and slip the U bolts through.
