Brake controller
Do you think I should install a brake controller. My total weight is under 3,000lbs. Towing with a Honda Ridgeline. Thanks

here is michigan you dont have to by law unless your over 3500 but it has made a great deal plus you save wear a tear on your TV. just my 2 cents.

I would say yes. Especially since you are near the requirement of 3K pounds, as indicated on two different sites...

If your trailer has brakes it would be silly not to use them...IMHO.

I bet you need a controller according to Honda. Most need it for anything over 1500 lbs.

Honda does require a brake controller for anything over 1000 on a crv and 1500 for pilot, ridgeline, odyssey.

Brake controller
Oh and the plug in connector is right above the parking brake pedal. Find a p2 or p3 controller and get the harness that plugs right into it- no butt connectors required.
Hell I even think I have an extra p2 and harness at home.

I have a ridge and use a brake controller. It's worth the little effort it takes to hook it up to say the least.
