Ceiling Lights not working on Pop Up
I have a 2006 Flagstaff Pop Up Camera and the lights on the ceiling are not working, all three of them.
The A/C, outlets in and out of camper are working, only thing not working are the ceiling lights. Fuses all look good too.
Only thing is the battery is dead and I will be purchasing a new one soon. But aren't the ceiling lights run on 110 (when plugged in,I was plugged in to my garage when testing everything. ).

The ceiling lights are 12v and run off of the inverter.
With that being said I don't think you'd need to have a battery present but if the inverter isn't working that could be why the lights aren't working either.
Do any of you're 12v items in the camper work? Water pump would be easy enough to check as would the radio.

I think some popups have a safety switch to disconnect the ceiling lights if the top is down. Possibly that is malfunctioning?

There is usually a switch on the sink. When you flip it over the lights will work. But you're right.. the 12v will not work in the travel position.

No the ceiling lights are 12v DC battery power.
When plugged into shore power, the converter keeps the battery charged while using the 12v items, like the lights.
Suggest that you Google "the 12 volt side of life".
It'll help with understanding how the 2 different RV electrical systems work .

Ceiling Lights
Thanks everyone! I got a new battery and will be trying it out tonight. I will be sure to lift the sink complete up to see if that will turn on the safety switch.

Most of the time this problem is caused by the safety switch. Do not bypass it. It is there to prevent the lights from being on and getting hot and burning the bunk ends when the PUP is closed. If it is the switch, the vent fan ( if equipped) should not work as well

Wish that safety switch disconnected the power supply to the water pump.. ask me how I know ;-) Grrr.. what a mess.

X2, our switch was on the driver's side, below the roof line. It engaged when the roof was put down.

The switch on the sink in my old PUP somehow became bent (it wasn't attached very well) and then the lights would not work in the PUP when it was set up. My dad replaced the switch with a new one that was more sturdy and I never had the problem again. Is your switch possibly bent wherever it is attached inside the PUP (possibly near the underside of the sink)?
