Coleman mach 8 a/c 15k btu

Thinking about having this a/c unit installed in my rockwood hw276. I got an estimate from camping world for $1632 out the door. Now mind you that it is not replacing a unit but is a completely new install. Anyone have some opinions on this?

Sounds about $500 more than if you could do it yourself. I assume you need the low profile unit for garage door clearance?

That's right. I want to be able to store it in the garage. As for doing it myself, I'm going to pass on that. I could save an additional $189 if I pass on the camping world 2 year warranty. Not sure on that or not. I would hope a brand new unit would last a couple years at least.

I have never been a fan of most extended warranties. The odds are in favor of the warranty company. Electronics are the exception. I have seen some real good CW service departments, and some on the other end of the spectrum. I would try and check any online reviews for the location you are look at. Labor seems to be in line after the cost of the unit.
