Cover Help

Hey members,

I need some help with covers. I just purchased the Camco Ultra guard cover for my Rockwood 2514G. It is a 12ft box with the outside storage. When I measured it per how I saw how to do it on some websites, I included the spare tire up to the storage box and the measured out to about 15 1/2 ft. So I ordered the 14-16 ft cover thinking that would fit. It has about 2 ft extra in the front, enough to go all the way over the tanks and cover the tongue.

I bought it on Amazon. It is seems to be a really nice cover. I am just debating about sending it back and ordering the 12-14 ft cover.

I know these covers are universal and will not fit perfectly like they do in the pictures. Just looking to not have as much slack and I know they really aren't supposed to be used to cover up the tank and tongue.

Can anyone that that owns a 12ft box with outside storage share their experience with the size cover they bought.

Thanks!

I had the same situation and I liked the way the cover was over everything from the spare to the jack. Only the last few inches of the tongue was exposed.
We don't get much wind here so I didn't tie the cover in a very serious way.
If we were in a really windy area I would "pad" all of the corners and points and tie the cover tightly to avoid movement.

My dealer sold me a cover that was 12'- 14' 1" for my flagstaff 246d. The box length is listed at 14', but the actual dims are more like 14'-9". Something to watch out for.

I ended up returning the Camco cover I bought and ordered an Adco cover from Camping World. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet to see how it fits, but will update when I do. I ordered one size smaller than I had originally gotten and if it doesn't fit, I will take it back to Camping World and get the bigger one.

UPDATE: Ended up with the 14.1 16ft ADCO Tyvek cover from Camping world. It still covers the LP tanks and probably the tongue if I pulled it. The cover dimensions are about 12inches shorter than the original Camco cover per the website so this one doesn't have as much slack to it. I like how ADCO has straps that attach under the bottom of the camper to the other side. I will post a picture when I have it outside and covered sometime.
