Do I cut off my rear bumper

I have the option to place my Rockwood in a garage for the winter. The only problem is it is 3-4 inches too long.
If I remove the spare tire and carrier(4 bolts) I still have the the rear bumper.
My father in law and I were discussing the idea of cutting the rear Bumper off and reattaching it in the spring with bolts and flat stock steel.

Any reason this wouldn't work?

Thanks for you the thoughts.

Steve

I don't see why not, as the "bumper" offers nothing more than a place to keep a sewer hose. Reattaching it like you said would be just as strong as it needs to be

Make sure it doesn't violate any warranty if you are still under warranty.

I see he pic. Did you end up cutting off the bumper?

I can fit my pop up in the garage as well but have decided to just leave it out.

Vin.

Awesome. I also see the snow blower there on the corner. Lets hope you don't need it tonight (the day before Thanksgiving).

Not likely, it has been raining hard all day. I am too close to the coast. I fired up my snowblower just incase.
Happy thanksgiving
