Do you store your trailer outside during the winter?
I do. Hi Folks. This is my first winter storing my 425D outside. On my previous Fleetwood, I would simply raise the frame at rear on 2 jack stands just enough to raise the wheels off the ground, and I sit the tongue on large birch log on end. Am planning to use the same approach. For the 425D or any other model with the fantastic vent, do you cover it with plastic? Any tips or tricks to share?

Outside in the RV storage lot at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
I don't use a large cover (too windy) but do have a cloth cover over the A/C on the roof and over the tires. Also, a small cover over the electric tongue jack and I put the electrical jack inside when in storage. The trailer has a very large awning and one over the slideout, as well, so I use the pro-tech covers for those to protect from the ultra-high UV rays here at 7,000 feet.
A neighbor got brave and just put a brand-new, huge, cover over his so I'll see how many weeks it lasts!!

Outside - but under a 40' long metal shed which has 12' tall side legs. The ends are open and the sides are covered with sheet metal from the top down to 6'. That leaves 6' open space at the bottom. It's hooked to 50a electrical service 24/7.

Stored outside...nothing special other than thorough winterization. No cover...and on the Canadian Prairies winter is as harsh as they come.

I always stored my popup in an unheated garage with the tires sitting on 2x8s instead of the dirt floor. I've always stored the TTs outside with the tires sitting on concrete patio slabs - no cover. I've never raised it off the tires. IMO, its not necessary for ST tires. Just don't let them sit on dirt or grass - gravel, concrete and asphalt are fine.
You may want to put a Fantastic Ultra Breeze or MaxxAir Fan/Mate vent cover over the fantastic fan to protect it from ice.
I wouldn't put a plastic sheet over it. That would promote mould growth. If you really want to cover it, get a purpose-made RV cover for it, like an ADCO cover.

Outside for us. I do have a custom cover over it. Also I pull the battery and put it on trickle charge. Also have the tires on a couple of patio bricks. And I cover the vents with window screen material.

Do what we did and you don't have to worry about it. Sell your sticks and stones, and go full timing.

Mine is stored outside, I drive it up on 2 x 12's so the tires are not on the ground and then cover it with a cover made for the unit. Works good for me.

Nope, stored in covered RV lot when not on the road. Large steel roof with drive thru ability, but protected from rain, hail, and sun. Winters in this part of Texas aren't generally the issue, summers are because of the intense heat that can ruin plastic covers, deform interior panels, etc.

My 5er sites outside next to my house. I have power hooked up all the time.
It comes in handy in case I lose power to the house. I just hook up to a 3000 watt generator and move in. This past summer it got used a couple of times. It would be nice in the winter also but hope I don't need it!

We store ours outside in a covered, machine shed at our friends farm. Both ends of the building are enclosed. It's out of the wind and hooked to 30 amp service to keep the battery charged and have heat inside, if needed. Concrete floor, so I don't put the wheels on anything. I try to check the trailer once a week for "critters". Good excuse to get outside, light a fire and watch for coyotes or varmits in the nearby woods and fields.
