Dometic Awning Bag leaking

All,
I have a new Viking 2308ST, and I used it once last fall. I noticed when I set the awning up, there was water in the Trimline awing bag and the awning was wet. I knew I was going to replace it with the Dometic Cabana awning, so I didnt worry too much about the water in the Trimline bag. i put the new Cabana awning bag on, but did not set up the actual awning. Well, come to find out, I now have standing rain water in the Cabana awning bag too! The Cabana awning is a $500+ item, and I don't want it mildewing/staining, and I am really disappointed. I thought the Trimline bag was defective, but this seems to be a wider issue as the Cabana bag is identical to the Trimline bag. I plan on contacting Dometic, but wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue, and how they dealt with it. I was thinking of melting wax and putting it on the stitching to better seal the holes, but that doesn't seem like a permanent fix to me. Any other thoughts?

thanks.
Nick

Does anyone know if the Dometic Cabana awning works on a High Way pup?
