Drain line Cracked!

Was putting up the camper top and heard a loud crack!

Later on I was running the water and the wife said it was leaking... went outside and found this crack...

How easy it this to fix? I have a one year check up with the dealer on May 4th, should I have them to a look at then? Is a warranty issue perhaps? Looking at the pipes they seem to be about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch out of alignment.

Can you tell if the tank moved and if so which way.

Also check for broken braces for the tank.

This is a 2016 HW27KS. I bought it last July/August or so. I believe this PVC tube feeds into the gray water line, I could be wrong though, haven't looked/mapped out the system under neath yet. I thought it may be the pipe coming from the reserve water tank system since it appears to be a holding tank below where the fill up is on the passenger side of the camper.

I can't tell if the tank has been bent or moved, will look tomorrow when it's light out to see if there are any braces that appear to have come loose.

That's funny. We have a 2016 HW296 and we had the same issue. Take it back it's a defect my dealer said they had seen 3 before we took it in last summer.

Appreciate the advice that this is a warranty repair. Can you guys elaborate on what the problem is exactly? I think my dealer is all right, but what if they try to say it's my problem?

Well I think that pretty much wraps it up.

Thanks for the input guys!

Will get it into the shop and post a reply as a follow up!

Called the dealer, they say they are booked through the next 4 weeks! Apparently my existing appointment on May 4th is the best they could do.

At this point I'm not getting the warm and fuzzies about my 17k investment

If they are that busy, hopefully it's not all warranty repair work!

If they're not really busy, but just preferring to do paid vs unpaid warranty work, then should I just look for another dealer instead?

Don't fiddle with it before you get it back to the dealer. Also, pm the guy who said his unit and three others had the same problem as yours to bolster your case with your dealer and a claim under warranty. Just sayin'

I just suggested using the rubber joint so you could use the unit till it was repaired. The part cost less then $10 and if you are at a campground would allow pipe to be repaired for a short term. If you have to wait 4 to 6 week to get your unit into the RV shop it will allow you to use the trailer while waiting. I am not recommending this as a permanent fix.

That's way past the point of being referred to as a crack. The pic is not clear but it appears to look as if someone sawed through the pipe.
