Drinking water

Does anyone actually drink/use the water from the faucet??
We're just bringing bottled water with. But just in case we run out or let's say we want to use that water for the coffee pot, is it ok?
By the way we did sanitize it already!

We always do. We use a dedicated water hose exclusively for the camper and have a filter on it too. We drink way too much water to buy it!

If you're just trying to filter the water a little more you can also try a Britta pitcher using the camper's FW.

We usually bring bottled water, but use the faucet water for the morning coffee. Dog doesn't seem to mind the faucet water either.

ditto! we are not part of the brainwashed public that can't drink anything but bottled water.

our tap water at home is very good and we use it to fill our FW tank.

We drink the water. One thing - the hose you use to fill the fresh water tank can give a nasty taste to the water. We now have a new (more expensive) hose and the water is fine.
We bring bottled water when it's too cold to use the water tanks. Had one of the 5 gallon water bottles freeze and burst - fortunately it was sitting in the shower pan!

First of, we keep our water system in the trailer immaculate. If we have water from home in the tank we do drink it, if we fill from a know municipal system we drink it, first time we fill the tank from any other source we switch to bottled water and stay on bottled water until after we have sanitized the system.

A few years ago on a cross country trip we were not quite as careful and I picked up a waterborne bug, took two years to get rid of it and believe me it is not much fun having to live next to a washroom.

So, unless you KNOW that the water is safe, don't drink it.
