Dual stacked batteries

Has anyone put dual batteries on their tent trailer, but stacked the batteries instead of putting them side by side? I have a power lift system and no place to put two batteries side by side. Only stacked. Is that an option?

I don't see why not as long as you build a strong rack to hold them and you can put water in the bottom one when needed, or go with AGM or Gel cells. There also are automatic (sort of) watering gizmo's that may work on for the adding water issue. Such as:

Flow-Rite RV2000 Pro-Fill RV Edition 2 Battery Kit

There are several good examples of creative battery mounts on the forum, but they may be hard to search for and find. Maybe some of the posters of these racks will chime in.

Watch your wire lengths (exactly the same) and thickness (0 or even bigger) for longer lengths to keep the resistance as low as possible between batteries.

I'm thinking about doing dual 6 volt batteries. My thought is to leave the battery box where it is, and build a metal bracket/stand to fit over the original and make it to allow another battery box to fit inside (on top of the other). That way I could take the top battery out and it would allow me to check the bottom battery. I've searched and can't find any pictures. All dual systems are side by side batteries.
