Duel tanks, duel batteries

Is there a way to mount duel 20 lb. propane tanks and two batteries up front on a pop up with an electric winch, and still be able to turn the crank for the front wheel and be able to pull out the bunk?

Getting greedy I know, but I do a lot of dry camping.

Just asking, if not I would have to drag along a generator and fuel to supplement the single battery.

Maybe build a custom battery rack? Take measurements and pics. Someone's bound to have an idea.

If you didn't want to fab something up, just carry the battery along and swap it out when the first one runs low. A bit of a PITA, but it could work.

You need a bracket from Forest River to mount the battery above the electric winch. Take a look aslag's Flagstaff 228D mods page...
http://home.comcast.net/~aslag54/battery_stand.html

Lots of other good mods/tips for the 228D there too

Here are a couple of pics of the factory battery rack from Forest River/Lippert. It's not big enough to hold two batteries.

That is a lot of extra weight. Be sure you dont exceed your TV towball weight capacity. The extra weight can also effect handling. Just some issues to be aware of I am saying. I too wanted extra battery and extra 9kg gas bottle. I went for a battery in a plastic battery box I can store on a rubber mat and secure to eye bolts under dinette during travel and a 4.5kg gas bottle strapped down on a rubber mat and stored under dinette as well. This is all above axle location of the Flagstaff 205A I have.
I couldn't afford any increase in towball weight on my TV.

I was anticipating some max tongue weight issues. I have a 625D and my dealer wired two batts in parallel and installed them on the back trailer bumper. Looks fantastic, eliminated my weight issue and allows for more battery usage during a dry camp. LOVE IT!
