Electrical troubleshooting for a rockwood 1940 popup

Bought the popup last year and the last owner suggested I get a new battery for it. I did, but when I switched out the batteries the electrical systems stopped working. Can anyone offer some suggestions on things to check and their locations so I can trouble shoot this this weekend? TIA

Possibly you hooked up the battery backwards.

Well, for sure the reverse current protection fuses are blown now.

Orange Ones (40 amps). Need 2.

That's a good start. Thanks, any other thoughts once I have that figured back out. I will be sure to buy way more than two, to get it figured out properly.

Once you get which wire goes where (it may be hooked up correctly now); put the fuses in and you should be good to go.

Follow the white/black wire from your battery to the frame screw. THAT wire goes to the minus (-) terminal of your battery. The wire (normally red) that goes to a fuse that looks like the photo goes to the positive (+).

I hope it is only that easy. Somehow things rarely are. Thanks for helping this newbie out.

Hopefully the damage caused by hooking it up backwards is limited to the fuses. Most likely it is; but we will burn that bridge when we get to it.

A spark on initial hookup did the same to me a couple of times and I found an inline fuse near the battery just where wiring goes out of sight into frame rails of tongue. Simple fuse swap.

So I am looking for the place to replace these fuses in case I blew them. Can anyone help me find it? Click image for larger version

This is my electrical center. I am not finding anything else. It looks like the fuse here is fine.

I'm not sure. I can't seem to locate anything besides this. Any hints as to where I might look?

I would hate to think they are behind the panel...

That face doesn't come off by just unscrewing the face screws. I would have to take apart the whole box. Yikes. I must be missing something. The search continues.

Plot thickens...I plug in the pup to the outside extension cord and put the converter on conv and the outlets all work. The lights don't but the outlets do. I rehooked the batt and put the converter to batt and nothing works. I make sure batt has charge, it does. How have all the lights gone out at same time and what have I tripped with batt to make all go dead? Btw, the pup is not hooked to truck, does this matter?

My fuses are under the table on the wall that has the storage (under Seat). There is also an outlet that has a gfi outlet beside it.

This is the folding table you are talking about, yes? I will look again but don't feel like I saw one there. The outlet with the GFI, is this the outlet that comes out of the battery compartment under the cushions? Basically in the footwell of the table?

Yes. Folding table. I have a 2014. Yes. Under the cushion. There is a black box on outside where your feet would be. The cover opens and the fuses are there on my model.

So I just came home after a night out seeing some fireworks and my entire popup was lit up. All the inside lights were on and running strong. What the???? Did it need to warm up to the battery? Whatever it is it seems to have sorted itself out. Of course, I'm going to get the wife out on a camping trip and I'm going to hit a switch and blam, nothing...but I swear honey, it was working at home.

Whatever, thanks for all the help!!!!
