We are in our third PUP. Started with a 1973 Steury. It was 23 years old when we bought it for a song, and we used it five seasons. Had no crank, the top had to be literally lifted by hand. Must have weighed 3 or 4 hundred pounds, or so it felt! that one worked well for us while our kids were young. Then we moved into a '95 Skamper. A bit smaller, but with a crank and other amenities that we enjoyed. that one lasted five seasons, till the cable broke. Now we are in FR Flagstaff that is even more cushy. I can't get over the electrically heated mattresses and on-board toilet! We dry-camped for 8 days in TR Nat'l Park in the ND Badlands. It was great! Back up there this year, and circle back home through NE to see the g'kids. About 15 days on the road.
