fitting for outlet of grey water tank

I'm looking for a fitting to attach to the grey water tank outlet of my HW277. The outlet is threaded male and the outer diameter is 1-3/4 inches. The inner (smooth) diameter is 1-1/2 inches. Every connector I've been able to find (like this one https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/Va...01-0091VP.html), claims to be 1-1/2 female to 3/4 male. I don't care about the 3/4 end but 1-1/2 female end doesn't seem like it would work. Is the Forest River grey water outlet really non-standard?

Thanks,
Ken

I have the same trailer I made a threaded adapter that upsizes to a standard sewer hose connector also your trailer should of come with a connector that you can attach a garden hose to

What makes you think the 1 1/2 female end won't work? That is the ID of the fitting. The 3/4 end is the ID of a standard garden hose.

Just like pvc pipe fittings. Galv fittings, copper fittings.

That's what makes me think it won't fit. The OD of the outlet from the grey water tank is 1-3/4. the ID of the tank side of the coupler is 1-1/2... I've ordered one from Valtera (via Amazon). If it doesn't fit, I'll design and 3D print an adapter.

yep the OD of the tank side is 1 3/4. The ID if the tank side is 1 1/2. The ID of the coupler is 1 1/2. No bumps no ridges. Smooth connection. It'll come to to ya.

Its just a standard hose connection. I use a female PVC adapter, tee and 2 short pipes to dump into a bucket or white 5 gal water jug only used for Grey water

When we had our HW27KS, I made a connection that allowed me to attach a regular sewage hose to the grey tank valve. There’s a long thread somewhere on here about the parts and parts numbers. I don’t have that info.

Sorry for the poor pic quality, but I think you get the idea. This allowed me to connect like you see in the other pic. Sometimes I would just connect one sewer hose and switch between valves as I needed to dump.

works after all...

Well, I clearly don't know how to measure the OD and ID of threaded parts. The Valtera 1-1/2 inch coupler arrived yesterday and it fits the output pipe of my grey tank...

Thanks all!

Sweet! Unfortunately, I almost never camp at locations with sewer hookups (national parks and state parks).

I knew you could do it. All plumbing parts and pipe and fittings talk in ID language. Electric also.
