Flagstaff 206LTD

Aster 30 years of tent camping, my wife and I are ready to purchase a pop- up. We found 3 that we are considering. A 2014 used (twice) Flagstaff 206 LTD, a new 2014 Rockwood Freedom 1940LT, and a 2015 Flagstaff 206LTD. Is this a good starter pop-up?
The used one appears to the best deal since it is like new and someone else took the depreciation, $5800.
We can buy the 2015 for about $1300 more. The used one and the 2015 have the options we are looking for. Electric lift, heated matresses, refrigerator, and heater.
I know everyone has their own preferences, but is there anything else we should consider, or another make and model.

Thanks.

I'd look for one with the slide out dinette. It makes a world of difference in the space inside the PUP.

Slideout, furnace, fridge I feel that is the most important. Well atleast to me. I really like my highwall but they can be pricy.

After almost 10 years of tenting it we recently moved up to a pop up. Rockwood 2318g. We love it. Did a lot of research and shopping g around to get there though. Well worth the time spent. Slide out dinette is terrific. Opens up a lot of space inside and with wife, 2 girls, myself and the occasional family/ friends along it is a big help. Furnace for cool weather helps but electric heater is better. Why burn my propane when we have electric. Fridge is nice too. Nice big bunks with heaters. Pretty easy setup and take down. We are very happy with it after a busy year of using it. I think about 25 nights out.

I agree. Slide outs were a game changer for the RV industry. They add so much.

My wife and I purchased our first popup in 2012. It was a Flagstaff 176ltd. It has an 8' box and fit nicely in our garage. However, as you can imagine, the 8ft box is small. It was okay for my wife, me and 5 year old.. but the lack of space was always the elephant in the room. LOL..

We recently purchased a '14 Rockwood 2318g. The slide-out was a MAJOR purchasing factor along with the 12' box. In total, it's about 17.3' long, closed. My garage is 19' deep so it just fits!

The slide really opens up the floor plan. I won't be able to purchase a slideless popup again.. lol

Congrats! We love our 2318g and got to use it a lot this past summer. The slide out was a must have for my wife and I'm glad she insisted on it. Makes all the difference. Good luck with it. I'm sure your experience with it will be just as good!
