Flagstaff 425D Popup

We have a 2013 Flagstaff 425D. The door gives us fits trying to install. The camper can be very level and yet the door is always off a little it takes lots of jiggling and other to get it even partially into the frame.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Is the roof raised to the correct height? The green wire in the corner should be tight. If you have a power winch, it might not be raising the roof that extra 1/2 to 1 inch. I know mine was notorious for having to have the maximum height adjusted almost every three months. And if not at the correct height, it was a pain to insert the screen door.

If you have a manual winch, make sure it is raised to the make the green wire is tight.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will get good advice. Could you initially be level and then over torque the stabilizers?

Is the frame possible bent from over tightening the stabilizers?

Is your roof going up even? I had a failed lift mechanism that resulted in one corner 3-4 inches lower than the others. I could not get the door on correct.

We had a similar problem with a pop up we owned. (Not a Forest River product) it was almost like hold the door, push up on the roof, jiggle the door stand on one leg, cross your fingers and curse a lot.! I feel your pain and frustration !

X2.... I will add that if you're using the stabilizer jacks to level the trailer........thats the issue. They should just make contact with the ground after you have leveled the trailer fore and aft and side to side and before raising the roof.

Same issue here. The door is a battle every time. I use a power drill to lower my stabilizer jacks. I might stop just short of the ground, then manually snug them to the ground next time we camp.

We have the same issue sometimes in our 296hw. Took it is thinking frame was bent but dealer found no issues. I guess we don't raise the roof all the way. Let's see what happens this season.
