Flagstaff Mac 246 D relocating fresh water tank drain

Hi I'm new to the forum. I wanted to know if anyone has relocated there drain for fresh water tank. When the tank is drained there's still about 2" of water in it. I want the drain on the bottom not the side.

Just park on a slope where the drain is the low point.

Thanks but that still doesn't drain it completely. I wanted to put a drain in the bottom. My concern is after sanitizing system then go out all ok but then might not camp again for week or two and now I have stagnant water in my tank again. Should I go through the whole bleach process again?

The issue with a bottom drain is the much greater chance of it getting hit/smashed/broken with debris or bottoming out when passing over a speed bump or similar obstacle. A spigot hanging down as a low point is an invitation for diaster.

I have the same issue with the tank not draining completely, but I'd rather put up with that than lose my tank and water to a rough road. Since we now store the camper in a garage, I won't have to winterize again unless we take it camping on a brutal night in Colorado.

I sanitize or sterilize once a year in spring then drain everything out.
If there is less than one month between trips I will fill and go.
A month or longer, I will fill, flow, drain and then refill and go.

Thanks for the replies! I was going to see about threading the bottom and using a flush pipe plug. I think tank is to thin to thread. Factory used an epoxy to add a thicker piece to thread. I'll just flush it out every time. Thanks again!
